Fate
chapter 4-Fate
Ah, New York. The lights, the scrapers, the traffic blocks.
Seriously, the city doesnt change much in seven years.
I even found my old haunt. It was in manhattan, just so far from the coast. I was surprised that they hadnt knocked it down yet.
Apocalypse and I still had trouble finding it though, but at least we werent far from it. And Apocalypse didnt have to fly me there, which was a good thing for the both of us, trust me.
I needed to find some clothes, so as soon as Apocalypse had lost the wings, we went shopping. Well, she went shopping. Somehow, even in New York, people might react badly to a demon girl. Since Apocalypse had a kind of mind power, I told her what I wanted from the roof. She also managed to get the store to let her to walk out with around $400 worth of clothes. Apocalypse handed me something as soon as we met back at the haunt. It was a necklace with a koru (thats a sort of NZ swirl) pendant on it. 'I thought I owed you it' she said. 'What?'I asked, confused. 'Well, you save my ass, help me get out of the institute and find us a place to stay. Id say I owe you. Call it a token of friendship.'I blinked and said thanks. Wow.
I had a friend.
